Welcome to The Reading Room Initiative.
The Reading Room is an initiative aimed at helping foundation phase children thrive in their first three years of primary school. The goal is to eliminate illiteracy for the next generation!
The remedy is to serve the local government schools within our area of influence by providing reading assistance to children aged 6 – 9 years old. The hope is that by the time these children reach their Grade 4 levels, they will be fluent in reading and writing.
How do we do this?
We strive to serve the one. One child, one day at a time! If every person put up their hand to help and invested in the education of the next generation we would live on the doorstep of greatness!
The dream is to eliminate illiteracy in South Africa by 2040!
